Welcome to the Kuepper Family Album

In the last months of Angela’s life, we started going through old albums and pictures. Andy and I got to talk to her about her memories while looking through a few older albums and I recorded it on video. (At some point that video will be here on this website.)

Then I started scanning the pictures and negatives. Box after box. So many different kinds of prints and negatives. So many family pictures! Many of the pictures are taken lovingly by Kurt, but also Angela, and Erica, and of course pictures of friends and family and so many memories. I feel like I got to experience some of these things in some small way as I sorted and scanned and fixed dust spots, covered scratches, and adjusted the color as much as possible – some prints are pretty faded.

As a child, my mom took a lot of pictures and I loved looking through our photo albums, pausing on the details, things easily taken for granted that become more precious as time goes on. Pictures can help us lock in memories, or unlock dusty ones we’d almost forgotten.

This section of the website is for stories (and the occasional technical update or information). More specifically, it’s for YOU to tell and share stories and memories, using any of the photos as your inspiration or backdrop.

Right now I’m just getting this set up and looking right. You can browse and comment on pictures (click on a picture to comment) and also posts like this.

Soon there will be the ability to purchase prints or download high quality print versions if you want to print them at your regular photo shop. Also the ability to write posts like this and share stories using the pictures as a jumping off point.
